Landmarks was a long running educational series covering history and geography and shown on BBC Schools.

The last three programmes of this selection show us how life changed in Britain after the war.

7:  Never Had it So Good

Anna Quayle looks at some of the things that were happening in Britain at the beginning of the 1950s,

including the Queen's Coronation, the conquering of Everest and the beginning of the age of the consumer.

She also looks at the growth of television and includes clips from Crackerjack, The Adventures of Robin Hood, and Billy Bunter.

The start of ITV brought the beginning of TV advertising and we see early adverts for

Murray Mints, Birds Eye Fish Fingers and Mars Bars.

And then there was Rock and Roll.
